This Week’s Message

The book of Esther is a whimsical, mysterious, and entertaining story of the rise of Esther from a young Jewish woman to queen of Persia. While God’s activity can be seen throughout the story, Esther is uncommon because God is never mentioned. There’s no grand pronouncement from God regarding her mission to become queen. The author doesn’t name God as a character in the story. This begs the question: How do we live faithfully when God seems absent?
